Dear Parents:         

 We are sure by now you have been informed that the lowest grade possible for a student to receive is a 50. The change is district wide to help students succeed. It is easier for the students to recover from a 50 than a 0. The students do have the opportunity to redo their work or to turn in missing assignments within a reasonable time. Parents are encouraged to monitor their child(ren)’s progress by the Parent Portal or requesting access to their Google Classroom. Please ask Monique for the parent portal requirements and your child(ren)’s teacher for access to their Google Classroom. Student(s) must maintain the state standard of a 60 or letter grade of D and above for the school year to be promoted to the next grade level. If the state standard is not achieved, the student could possibly be retained.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school to answer them. Estamos seguros de que ya se le ha informado de que la calificación más baja posible que un estudiante puede recivir es un 50. El cambio es en todo el distrito para ayudar a los estudiantes a tener éxito. Es más fácil para los estudiantes recuperarse de un 50 que de un 0. Los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de rehacer su trabajo o entregar las tareas que faltan dentro de un tiempo razonable. Por favor, pídele a Monique los requisitos del portal para padres y al profesor de su(s) hijo(s) para acceder a su Aula de Google.
